About Our Founder
Nekaya Carter is a compassionate advocate and visionary leader
deeply inspired by the profound impact her father had on her life. Throughout her journey as a real estate broker and the founder of 2.18 Vision, she continues to honor her father’s wisdom and teachings.
February 18th holds a special place in Nekaya’s heart as it marks the birthday of her beloved father. He would often emphasize the importance of having a vision and purpose, a message that resonated deeply with Nekaya. It is through his profound influence that the name of her nonprofit organization 2.18 Vision was born, symbolizing not only his birthday but also the power of having a clear purpose in life.
Nekaya is a proud graduate of the prestigious UC Berkeley, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She furthered her education at Long Beach State, obtaining a Master of Arts in Sport Management which has significantly contributed to her exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
With over fifteen years of experience as a Real Estate Broker, Nekaya’s dedication goes beyond transactions. She firmly believes in the power of education and empowerment which led her to establish the Real Estate Mentorship Program at 2.18 Vision. Through this program, she shares her wealth of knowledge and fostering the dreams of aspiring real estate professionals.
Nekaya’s journey is a testament to the triumph of legacy, as she stands as living proof that the impact of her father’s teachings continues through her work as a real estate broker and her passionate efforts with 2.18 Vision.
As a loving mother of three young adult children, Nekaya’s nurturing spirit extends to her community. Under her leadership, 2.18 Vision has organized impactful programs such as Women Elevating Women: A Day of Health, Wealth, and Empowerment. These events provide seminars and resources, equipping women with the tools they need to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams.
Additionally, the organization’s Holiday Drive ensures that young girls in Southern California find support and embrace during the first holiday season after losing their fathers. The program provides positive role models, gifts and special outings to help these young girls cope with grief and honor their fathers’ legacies.
Every real estate transaction facilitated by Nekaya’s brokerage also contributes to 2.18 Vision, making a direct impact on the programs and activities that positively impact the community.
